If you don't want to hike all the way to the top of Flattop Mountain, near Anchorage, Alaska, try the Blueberry Loop Trail. The trail begins with the wooden stairs on the south side of Glen Alps Trailhead parking lot. A few hundred feet from the start, the trail emerges from the treeline and pleateaus for your first unobstructed view of the Anchorage bowl and Cook Inlet far below. The trail forks at a bench and information sign. Take a right. Now you are on Blueberry Loop Trail . This easy trail is wide enough for two hikers to walk side-by-side.
